Apparently, Spinal Tap's Nigel Tuffnel was wrong. The National Physical Laboratory in the United Kingdom has, in fact, created something just a bit more black. In fact, it's pretty safe to say that their NPL Black, with it's ability to absorb 99.7% of visible light, will set the standard for all black to come.

I wonder if one of the lab's scientists was goth.

i feel being english probably makes one that much more likely to be goth or goth-simpatico. ;)

Wow. Poor Nigel. He has one moment of clarity, only to have it disproven by some physicist with a Cambridge lilt.

Well, at least he's still the primary authority on The Little Children of Ston'enge.
